Another installation is about to kick off in Japan for the 30th anniversary celebration of the Patlabor series. Following showings in Tokyo, Aichi, and Niigata, the next stop for the Patlabor exhibition—which includes a new collection centered on Patlabor: The TV Series, Patlabor: The New Files, and Patlabor 2: The Movie—is Ibaraki Prefecture this month.

Featuring around 150 pieces of art ranging from movie posters and original illustrations to animation cels and beyond, the Ibaraki installation is set to run from January 14 to February 13 at the Tsuchiura City Public Gallery venue. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, and they go for 1,000 yen (about $9) for adults and 500 yen ($4) for students, children, and those with disabilities.

The exhibit will also have a 1.2 meter tall Griffon model by sculptor Hideki Kawabata, as well as an augmented reality audio guide with narration by Miina Tominaga in character as Noa Izumi and Yoshiko Sakakibara as Shinobu Nagumo.
