The fourth season of the Overlord anime is going strong, and now it’s time to set our sights on the upcoming anime film. The previously announced feature is looking to adapt the light novel series’ Holy Kingdom arc, and we have a new preview thanks to the very first teaser visual.
We’ll have to wait for more details—including the film’s staff and release date—but for now you can enjoy the peek below.
Based on the light novel series by Kugane Maruyama and so-bin, the Overlord anime is directed by Naoyuki Itou and produced at anime studio MADHOUSE. All four seasons are currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes it like so:
When a popular MMORPG is scheduled to be shut down permanently, veteran player Momonga refuses to log out. As NPCs begin to develop personalities and minds of their own he decides to put his skills to use as the game’s new overlord.
