One Piece and Attack on Titan Dominate Japan’s 2019 Manga Charts

My Hero Academia may rule the roost when it comes to graphic novel sales in North America, but One Piece and Attack on Titan still have it on lockdown in Japan. Oricon published its charts for manga volume sales in the first half of 2019, marking the 11th year in a row that a One Piece volume has been at the top for the first half of the year.

That’s not to say Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia was a total slouch. The rankings list sales by volume, and volume 21 of MHA came in at number 6 in the top 20, just behind volume 53 of Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom. See where the rest of the volumes landed below.
