An anime adaptation is in the works for Taku Kawamura’s My Clueless First Friend manga, which will arrive sometime in 2023. The official Twitter account is live along with a teaser trailer, visual, and info on the main cast and staff members.

Shigenori Kageyama (Himawari!) is directing the My Clueless First Friend anime, with Takafumi Hoshikawa (Revolutionary Girl Utena) and Shogo Yasukawa (The Executioner and Her Way of Life) on series composition, Chikashi Kadekaru (JUNI TAISEN: ZODIAC WAR) on character designs and Toshio Masuda (Naruto) composing music for the Studio Signpost production. 

Cast members revealed thus far include Konomi Kohara as Akane Nishimura:

Kawamura’s manga has been running in the pages of Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine since 2018, and Square Enix Manga will publish the series in English with the first volume to arrive in March 2023.

Synopsis:
