What happens when you’re in love with someone who is also your sworn enemy? That’s the kind of tricky ground Fudo Aikawa and Desumi Magahara are navigating, as the former is the leader of hero group Gelato 5 and the latter is a villain group minion known as the Queen of Death. They keep their love life private in Love After World Domination, and you can see how that plays out in the anime adaptation’s first teaser trailer below.
Based on the manga by Hiroshi Noda and artist Takahiro Wakamatsu, the Love After World Domination is set to premiere sometime in 2022. Kazuya Iwata (assistant director on Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) is directing, with Satoru Sugizawa (Pastel Memories episodes) on scripts and Akemi Kobayashi (Chi’s Sweet Home) on character designs. Other staff members include Satoshi Motoyama as sound director and Satoshi Hono and Ryunosuke Kasai on music writing duties under production by Pony Canyon and App Dream.
The Love After World Domination anime is being produced at Project no. 9, with Dream Shift overseeing it all. The two lead cast members are Yusuke Kobayashi (Re:ZERO‘s Subaru Natsuki) as Fudo Aikawa, AKA Red Gelato, and Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena Milizé in 86 EIGHTY-SIX) as Desumi Magahara, AKA Queen of Death.
