Latest Live-Action Ghost in the Shell Featurette Dives Into Section 9

Like it or not, this thing is coming.

Rupert Sanders’ live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell is mere weeks away, and new teasers and featurettes are giving us an almost-daily dive into the world of the film.

The latest, released March 15, gives us a 90-second look into the characters that make up anti-terror organization Section 9 via clips from the film and interviews with the cast and crew.

In the clip, which largely centers around Aramaki (Takeshi Kitano) and Batou (Pilou Asbaek), Scarlett Johansson praises Kitano, saying his performance gives “that character the weight that it needs.”

Director Sanders comments on Batou, who he says “is cyber-enhanced, but not to the degree of the Major.” Johansson says, “when Major is with Batou, it’s the most human she feels.”

Previously, Paramount also streamed two short 15-second teasers that gave us a bit more of a glimpse into the world of (the) Major.

Do these featurettes and clips sway you in or out of seeing the film, or is your mind pretty much made up at this point?
