The battle is heating up for the anime adaptation of Yasuhisa Hara’s hit manga Kingdom. The fifth season is currently in the works, with a premiere set for January 6, 2024, and the official website recently went live with a brand new teaser trailer. Leap into the fray in the video below.
Among the new cast members joining the returning VAs are Kentaro Ito as Kan Ki/Huan Yi, Haruka Nagamine as Koku’ou, Kenji Nomura as Raido, Motoki Sakuma as Ma Ron/Mo Lun and Katsuyuki Konishi as Na Ki.
Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom manga is currently running in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, and all four seasons of the anime so far are available to stream on Crunchyroll, which sum up the series like so:
A nameless boy and a young king have grown up in a nation plagued by war. The boy, Xin, has countlessly proven himself on the battlefield, and although initially starting on bad terms, he and the young king, Zheng, have become comrades.
