Kazuo Umezu Announces First New Project in 26 Years

Kazuo Umezu Announces First New Project in 26 YearsKazuo Umezu is the king of horror manga, the brilliant and twisted mind behind stuff like Orochi, Makoto-chan, Drifting Classroom, Cat Eyed Boy and much more.

Umezu hasn’t drawn a new manga in a while (26 years, to be exact), but that long drought is coming to an end soon. This weekend he announced that he’s been working on a new project for the last four years, and that it’s set to debut in January 2022.

ANN quotes Umezu as introducing the project like this: “It is an incredible work, and once you get your first glance at it you won’t be able to escape!!”

Sounds great!
