Japan’s New Era Shares Name with Anime Porn Game Song

Earlier this week we posted about the official reveal of the name for Japan’s new era, which will change when the new Emperor takes the throne. Since Crown Prince Naruhito is doing that on May 1, Japan will enter the Reiwa era, which can translated in a few different ways. According to Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Reiwa should be defined as “beautiful harmony” in English, and that poetic phrase also happens to be the name of a song from an anime porn game.

Anime voice actress and singer Yui Sakibara recorded the “Beautiful Harmony” song back in 2006, and it was featured in a game called Buraban! -The bonds of melody-. Developer Yuzu Soft’s game has players transferring to a new school to help female band members improve, and those improvements eventually lead to more… suggestive situations.

We’ll leave the results to your imagination, but either way, this is now all we can think about when we hear the term “beautiful harmony.”
