I’m Standing on a Million Lives Anime Has Completed Every Episode Ahead of Fall Debut

We’re just now getting into the Summer 2020 anime season, but one TV series is already fully prepared for Fall. As revealed via the official Twitter, the I’m Standing on a Million Lives anime—which adapts the fantasy manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao—has already completed production of all 12 episodes three months ahead of its debut on Japanese TV.

The account will be posting 293 screenshots from the first episode on Twitter to celebrate. Here’s what the statement said:

Declaration of Completion – We hereby declare that the TV anime ‘I’M STANDING ON MILLION LIVES,’ which is scheduled to be broadcast in October 2020, has successfully completed all 12 episodes three months before its premiere, despite the impact of the recent social situation. For those of you waiting for its broadcast, we hope you will be able to wait in peace.

Opening movie:

The adaptation has Kumiko Habara (assistant director on Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion) making her directorial debut, with Takao Yoshioka (Boarding School Juliet) on series composition for the MAHO FILM (If It’s for My Daughter I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord) production.

Yuto Uemura (Hiro in Darling in the Franxx) leads the cast as Yusuke Yotsuya, alongside Lisa Kubota as Iu Shindo, Azumi Waki as Kusue Hakozaki, and Makoto Koichi as Yuka Tokitate.

Kodansha Comics publishes the series in English. Here’s the official synopsis:

Ninth grader Yusuke Yotsuya is practical, friendless, and not active in any clubs. Then one day, he and two female classmates are suddenly sent to another world where they must work together to battle for their lives. Yotsuya is a lone wolf and has always lived his life according to his wants, but how will that work out now that he’s supposed to be a hero?! Get ready for a one-of-a-kind fantasy story that will challenge everything you thought you knew about fantasy!
