OMG (the “G” being for Godzilla, of course).
It’s been a long wait since it was announced last summer that Hideaki Anno (Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan), would be creating a new Godzilla film, but we’ve finally got a trailer for Godzilla Resurgence. Enough talk: let’s watch it.
Godzilla Resurgence (known in Japanese as Shin Gojira) stars Hiroki Hasegawa (Attack on Titan), Yutaka Takenouchi (The Tale of Nishino) and Satomi Ishihara (Attack on Titan) and opens in Japan July 29.
A teaser for the film, released last December, displayed a much shakier style of filmmaking.
Meanwhile, it appears Resurgence‘s Godzilla is the biggest one yet. An illustration has been making the rounds on Twitter which shows the new Godzilla in comparison with 2014’s Hollywood version, plus lots of other monsters throughout film history. Check out poor Eren from Attack on Titan down there.
