Here Are My Unreasonable Demands for an Anime Halloween Party

It's Halloween party time! All my ideas are reasonable and logical.

Throwing the best Halloween party isn’t just about having good food, or good decorations, or getting people to actually show up. No, the best events are greater than the sum of their parts. For the perfect party night, everything needs to be top tier: costumes, food, music, and all the rest.

And for our perfect night, we know exactly whose help we need. So we’re turning to these anime great, who will totally be free to help us. And who will totally answer their phones. Any minute now.

Costumes: Tomoyo Daidouji

Tomoyo, Cardcaptor Sakura

Above all else, a great Halloween party needs great costumes. And there’s only one name we think of when we think of “great costumes”: Tomoyo Daidouji, the cosplay queen of Cardcaptor SakuraWho else could come up with an outfit that’s cute, on brand, and made to endure very specific magical attacks?

Better yet, she’ll happily double as a party photographer. As long as you’re wearing one of her creations, she’ll be out there with her camera. At least, we’re pretty sure that’s the case. We’ve never actually heard of her doing that for anyone other than Sakura…

Food: Shirou Emiya

A Halloween party menu takes careful planning. You need someone who knows a lot of different creative recipes, and can make dishes that please a lot of different palates. Fortunately, we know a guy who’s cooked for everyone from King Arthur to Medusa: Shirou Emiya of the Fate-verse. He’s even got a whole series about it: Today’s Menu for the Emiya Family chronicles all the delicious dinners he makes for the Masters and Servants of the Grail War.

Emiya makes good use of ingredients on hands and takes into account the tastes of his guests. So we’re confident that he could whip up a spooky holiday buffet table for us. You know, stuff that’s normal food but actually looks like dismembered body parts and things. Oh, speaking of dismembered body parts…

Entertainment: Franchouchou

Franchouchou

You’ve gotta have some entertainment at your Halloween party. And when the creepy party games have run out, what could be better than a performance from actual zombie idols?

The stars of ZOMBIE LAND SAGA don’t even need makeup to look right for the occasion. (If anything, their makeup tends to hide their creepy complexions.) And they have an impressive repertoire that includes rap, metal, synthpop, and biker anthems. We understand they’ve gotten pretty popular, so this one might be a long shot. But if we offer them all the dried squid they can eat, we may have a chance.

That’s us set for tonight! Now all we have to do is wait for the talent to arrive.
