There’s always work to be done when it comes to designing the creatures of Earth, so of course there’s more Heaven’s Design Team anime on the way. Based on the comedy manga written by Hebi-Zou and Tsuta Suzuki and illustrated by Tarako, the series has a bonus episode on the way to Amazon Prime Video in Japan starting tomorrow, April 1.
The new episode has God tasking the team with coming up with five unique animal designs, and then incorporating the designs into a single animal. If you’ve seen the show, you know that’s not exactly going to go smoothly.
Crunchyroll has been streaming the series as it airs. Here’s the official synopsis:
I made the light, the water, and the earth below. Now it’s time to make the life that dwells upon it. Actually… that sounds like a giant headache, so I’ll contract it out! Heaven’s Design Team is an agency that creates made-to-order life forms for their client, God. Why does this life form look like that? Why does this life form live this way? Watch the trials and successes of the designers and engineers forced to breathe life into God’s absurd requests!
