Funimation, Crunchyroll Stream Attack on Titan The Final Season This Fall

Funimation, Crunchyroll Stream Attack on Titan The Final Season This FallAttack on Titan The Final Season is set to lumber onto Japanese TV screens this fall, but until now, we didn’t know where we’d be able to stream it.

Now the word is that the series will stream via both Funimation and Crunchyroll. The former will stream the series in both subtitled and dubbed forms, with the sub available the same day as Japan in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland. (Brazil and Mexico will get it too, apparently, though not immediately.)

Meanwhile, Crunchyroll will simulcast the subtitled version of the series in the US., Canada, the UK., Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, and Latin America.

You’ll recall that this final season is not animated at Wit, the studio that produced seasons 1 through 3. Instead, it’s being handled by MAPPA, with direction by Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro). Dorohedoro’s character designer, Tomohiro Kishi, has provided his new take on the characters, while writer Hiroshi Seko, who’s worked on every season so far, is back on scripts.

When will The Final Season start airing? We… don’t know yet! “Fall” is all that’s been announced so far. But we’ll let you know when that exact date is revealed.
