If the wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 is already killing you, well, I wouldn’t get too antsy over there. It’s going to be a while before we continue the journey, so Square Enix is attempting to tide fans over with a new updated PS5 version.
The new version is titled Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. While this isn’t the followup we’re waiting for, fans of FFVII Remake will still want to check it out thanks to a new Yuffie chapter that’s exclusive to Intergrade. You can see her introduction and some of the gameplay that follows as she teams up for battles with Sonon in the trailer from Sony’s State of Play event below.
Other enhancements include improved visuals—letting players switch between 4K Graphics Mode and 60fps Performance Mode—as well as Photo Mode, DualSense support, faster load times, and new difficulty settings for Classic Mode.
More on the features:
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available on PS5 worldwide on June 10, and those who already have Remake for PS4 will get it as a free upgrade.
Beyond Intergrade, there’s also a battle royale action game called Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier on the way to iOS and Android devices this year.
And a new chapter-structured single-player mobile game that aims to cover the entire Final Fantasy VII timeline, from the original game to all the various compilation titles.
