Based on the manga by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima, an EDENS ZERO anime was first announced back in June of last year. Now we finally have our first teaser trailer, showing the adaptation in action for the first time while revealing plans for an April 10 premiere date on Japanese TV.
Director Shinji Ishihara returns from Fairy Tail to helm more Mashima goodness as general director, while Fairy Tail episode director Yushi Suzuki takes on the director role. Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) handles series composition and Yurika Sato (animation director on Lostorage conflated WIXOSS) is on character designs for the J.C. Staff production.
Voicing Happy, now a robot cat, is once again Rie Kugimiya. Takuma Terashima (Lay Glanzudlii in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) is in the lead as Shiki Granbell and Mikako Komatsu (Re:ZERO‘s Minerva) is Rebecca Bluegarden. Check out the preview and visual below.
