Dr. STONE Manga Takes a Week Off for Further Research

When you’re putting together a manga like Dr. STONE, it’s no surprise that you would need to do a lot of research in the process. As revealed earlier this week, the series—which is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi—won’t be featured in the next issue of Shonen Jump, because the creators are busy doing more research to get everything just right.

The official Twitter account made the announcement that Inagaki is doing research for the upcoming arc, but didn’t provide any further details about the nature of the research. Considering all that goes on in the Dr. STONE manga, it could be anything, but we’re pretty sure the end results are going to be wildly entertaining.

Dr. STONE will return in this week’s 45th issue of Jump the following week.
