The Dr. STONE manga may have ended, but writer Riichiro Inagaki and artist Boichi have more story to tell. To do so, they’ll be putting out a new three-chapter manga that’s set after the events of the main story. Next week’s issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine will host the first chapter, which comes in at 47 pages long with a color page.

The other chapters will be released in the weeks that follow.

The story of the new manga was simply teased as centering on Senku attempting to construct a time machine. Hey, at this point, we’ll believe he can build anything.

Dr. STONE inspired a TV anime that started airing in July 2019 and is currently in the second half of its third season, Dr. STONE NEW WORLD. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes it as such:

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
