Boichi and Riichirou Inagaki’s Dr. STONE manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2017, and now it’s about to reach its climax. This year’s 13th issue of Jump revealed that this will happen in the next issue, which hits stores in Japan on March 7.

The next installment of Dr. STONE will have a color page and run a little longer than usual at 26 pages. The 13th and 14th 2022 issues of Jump also mark the celebration of the fifth anniversary for the series, which kicked off its final arc back in September.

Dr. STONE inspired a TV anime that started airing in July 2019 and has a third season on the way in 2023, as well as a Dr. STONE: Ryusui TV special this summer. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes it as such:

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
