Yesterday during the Disney Investor Day 2020 livestream, information was revealed about Star Wars: Visions, an anime anthology. Since Disney has already been involved in Star Wars manga, Star Wars anime is not such a stretch.
“Star Wars: Visions will be a series of animated short films celebrating the Star Wars galaxy through the lens of the world’s best anime creators,” said Luscasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy. “This anthology collection will bring ten fantastic visions from several of the leading Japanese anime studios, offering a fresh and diverse cultural perspective to Star Wars.”
The project is scheduled for next year.
What do you think of anime studios and Disney collaborating for Star Wars?
