The latest anime project from Jun Maeda—known for works like Charlotte and Angel Beats!—was revealed just a couple weeks ago. Titled The Day I Became a God, the P.A.Works/Key/Aniplex production is set to premiere in Japan this October, and now we know who will be directing and starring in the series.
In the director’s chair for this one is Yoshiyuki Asai, returning from helming Charlotte. Also from Charlotte is voice actress Ayane Sakura, who will be providing the voice for the anime’s main character, Hina.
Jun Maeda is working on the original story and script, with Na-Ga (Angel Beats!, Charlotte) on character designs.
Hina, a girl who awakens as a God, foreshadows the “end of the world.” So, she chooses a boy.
As a companion to watch over, at the end…
