Kyoto Animation’s CITY THE ANIMATION already looks like a ton of fun, and a new visual has arrived to back up that notion further. This one goes full bird’s-eye view for a wider look at the city, as depicted by character designer and chief animation director Tamami Tokuyama.
Tachi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) directs, with Tamami Tokuyama (animation director for Sound! Euphonium) on character designs and chief animation direction for the Kyoto Animation production. The series is set to premiere this July.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga—which comes from Keiichi Arawi, the author behind Nichijou—in English. Here’s how Kyoto Animation describes the series:
