Mark your calendars, we are only three months away from Anime NYC! Whether you’re a seasoned convention-goer or thinking about making your first trip, here’s everything we know about the con this year!
When and Where
Anime NYC 2025 will take place from August 21 – 24, 2025 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Manhattan, New York. That’s four days of anime!
The Javits Center’s massive halls will once again be transformed into an anime paradise, packed with panels, premieres, concerts, and more.
Here is the schedule for the weekend:
THURSDAY New Preview Day: 4 PM – 8 PM
FRIDAY: 10 AM – 7 PM
SATURDAY: 10 AM – 7 PM
SUNDAY: 10 AM – 5 PM
What To Expect
Panels and Screenings
Expect a full slate of panels featuring top Japanese voice actors (seiyuu), anime directors, manga creators, and industry legends. Anime NYC has a strong track record of U.S. premieres, so if you want to be the first to catch the next big series or movie before it airs officially, this is the place.
Exhibit Hall
Thousands of square feet will be filled with exhibitors: major publishers like VIZ Media and Kodansha, popular merch booths like Good Smile Company, and lots of indie artists at Artist Alley. Whether you’re hunting for figures, exclusive manga releases, or hand-drawn fan art, budget extra — you’ll want it!
Cosplay
Cosplay is a huge part of Anime NYC’s culture. From massive organized photo shoots to spontaneous dance-offs in the lobby, you’ll see stunning cosplays from classic anime like Naruto to new hits like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Destination Cosplay will host cosplay meetups, repairs, exhibitions, and a masquerade on Saturday, August 23. Learn more here.

Tickets and Badges
Badges are on sale now. Anime NYC offers several options:
- Single-Day Badges
- Weekend Badges (all four days)
- VIP Badges, which include early access to the show floor, premium seating at major panels, and a swag bag filled with exclusive goodies.
Tips For First-Timers
- Download the schedules when they drop — it’s the easiest way to track panel schedules, guest appearances, and room locations.
- Plan your days ahead of time! Some panels and screenings require advance reservations.
- Bring cash and card — some vendors only accept one or the other.
- Wear comfortable shoes. The Javits Center is massive, and you’ll be on your feet all day.
- Pack snacks and water. Food options inside are available but pricey, and lines can get long.
Why Anime NYC
Unlike some larger conventions, Anime NYC is proudly anime-focused. It’s not just about pop culture or gaming — it’s all about celebrating Japanese animation, manga, and culture.
The organizers also make an active effort to spotlight up-and-coming artists, small press publishers, and inclusive fan communities.
Anime NYC 2025 promises to be another unforgettable celebration. Whether you’re there for the world premieres, the shopping, the cosplays, or the vibes, you’ll leave counting down the days until 2026.
Stay tuned for more announcements and get ready to experience the best of anime in the heart of New York City!
