Earlier this year, a new manga series was revealed for Yuki Kodama, the author of the Blood Lad manga. Now those plans have been updated, and Shoukan Suru Sekai, AKA The World of Summoning, is officially set to receive a simultaneous global launch in English and French.
The announcement from the official Twitter for Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine links to the Twitter accounts of France’s Pika Édition and North America’s Kodansha Manga, and a banner illustration from the former was included.
The World of Summoning will be a battle fantasy manga set in modern-day Tokyo, featuring an academy and summoners. Tokoyo is a boy who admires summoners, and happens to have a potentially world-shaking secret. The series is set to kick off in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine‘s March issue, which hits stands in Japan on February 9. The series will be on the cover of the magazine, and the 58-page opening chapter will include some color pages.
