Black Lagoon Manga Returns from Hiatus, Latest Volume Gets Anime Trailer

Black Lagoon MangaRei Hiroe is getting busy. Aside from the brand-new manga revealed last week, it’s now been announced the manga-ka will also be resuming his most famous creation, Black Lagoon.

The manga, which began in 2002, most recently went on hiatus in August 2017.

The Black Lagoon manga will also be getting its first collected volume in almost five years, volume 11, which is due out in Japan November 19. There’s an anime commercial out to promote the release, which features the voice of Megumi Toyoguchi as Revy.

Here’s how Viz Media describes Black Lagoon:

Rokurō Okajima is just an average Japanese salaryman, living an average life. But when he’s taken hostage by the crew of the Black Lagoon, Rokurō finds himself thrown headfirst into a deadly world of outlawed heroes, brutal villains, and blazing gunfights. Where he ends up is anyone’s guess, but one thing is for certain—he’s in for a wild ride!
