Be a Warrior Against COVID with New Samurai Masks

If you have to wear a mask, you might as well have fun with it using a samurai mask. That seems to be the mindset of UM Succeed, a Shibuya-based company that sells tourist items based on Sengoku Period castles. You know what else was big in the Sengoku Period? Samurai. And samurai armor. So UM Succeed is selling three different samurai face masks, which can in turn be placed over other masks.

You might not get the full armor or the helmet, but just this bit is enough for people to know this is a samurai reference. According to SoraNews24, these masks hit the market earlier this week and go for the inexpensive price of about $4.14 (440 yen). They are available for online purchase.

While you’re at it, you can check out other creative masks from Japan, including My Hero Academia masks, Re:Zero masks and even special masks for karaoke. Even Yubaba from Spirited Away has joined in on the safety measures to get people wearing masks in public!
