As One, the upcoming anime film and prequel to the game Starwing Paradox, is headed to Japanese theaters on August 22.
That news comes alongside a new teaser trailer for the film and some fresh staff announcements.
The newly announced staff includes:
Script: Shatner Nishida (Lupin III: Prison of the Past), Kana Matsui (Yōkai Watch ♪), Masaya Honda (Boruto)
Mechanical designer: Ippei Gyobu (Gundam Reconguista in G)
Studio: Honoo, Studio GOONEYS
Previously announced staff members include director Kobun Shizuno, a veteran of the Detective Conan movie franchise, and character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion), who also did the characters for Starwing Paradox.
As One takes place 20 years before the game, and tells the story of the meeting between high schooler Yo and the robot mechanic Rako.
Starwing Paradox is a multiplayer mech battle arcade game developed by Square Enix with animation by Sunrise. It was released in 2018, and online support was shut down in late 2021.
