Requiem of the Rose King manga author Aya Kanno brought the series to an end in January 2022, ending a nearly decade-long run. Now the creator has a new series that just debuted via Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross manga website this week.
Meio no Zakuro (Underworld Pomegranate) is a semi-monthly series that follows high school student Seiji. Ever since falling down a well and accidentally entering the underworld as a child, Seiji has been plagued with bad luck. Thus, everyone has always been afraid to get close, except for childhood friend Haru. Seiji’s life begins to take an even stranger turn when something he brought back from the underworld activates.
VIZ Media publishes the Requiem of the Rose King manga and describes the first volume like so:
