Next up on Netflix from Castlevania producer Adi Shankar is an animated take on Capcom’s Devil May Cry series. Studio Mir is handling animation and Shankar is writing scripts alongside Yasuke‘s Alex Larsen, and a new video made its way online to offer a peek behind the scenes.
In addition to apologizing to fans for the delay, Shankar shows off some fresh animation and storyboarding in the video below.
The first season of Devil May Cry is set for eight episodes. Beyond that, we know that “multiple” seasons are planned. There’s currently no concrete release date in place, as the video simply says it’s “coming soon,” so stay tuned for mored details as they’re announced.
The first Devil May Cry game launched on PlayStation 2 back in 2001, and the series previously inspired a TV anime by Madhouse in 2007.
