The anime Hell’s Paradise debuted this last weekend on April 1 and is available to stream on Crunchyroll. Twin Engine, the company that planned the anime, released clean opening and ending sequences. The ending theme song, “Kamihitoe,” is performed by Uru, while the opening theme song “WORK” is performed by millennium parade x Sheena Ringo.

Meanwhile, Milan Records has released the “WORK” track and it’s available everywhere. The music was composed by Daiki Tsuneta of millennium parade, and Tsuneta and Ringo wrote the lyrics together.
“We started working on a song together around 2019, but we didn’t release it to the world (it’s not the same song as the theme song of this project),” said Tsuneta. “In 2023, the Jigokuraku team approached me, and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for the two of us, so I invited Ringo to join us again and we decided to write a new song. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! Thank you Jigokuraku! I am very proud of this work and I am looking forward to you listening to it.”
The anime is being made at MAPPA, with Kaori Makita of Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather helming the project as the director.
Here is a description for the plot:
“The Edo period is nearing its end. Gabimaru, a shinobi formerly known as the strongest in Iwagakure who is now a death row convict, is told that he will be acquitted and set free if he can bring back the Elixir of Life from an island that is rumored to be the Buddhist pure land Sukhavati. In hopes of reuniting with his beloved wife, Gabimaru heads to the island along with the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. Upon arriving there, they encounter other death row convicts in search of the Elixir of Life… as well as a host of unknown creatures, eerie manmade statues, and the hermits who rule the island. Can Gabimaru find the Elixir of Life on this mysterious island and make it back home alive?”
