Takeshi Konomi, creator of The Prince of Tennis manga, recently shared an update on his health, and it sounds like he’s having a very tough time of late. According to one of his latest tweets, he hasn’t been able to attend the stage play based on his series because he can’t currently walk on his own properly. As a result, he has been using a wheelchair to get around.
The cast behind The Prince of Tennis musical sent him well-wishes in video form, encouraging him during this tough time.

Konomi seems to be staying in good spirits despite these struggles, and even went on to share some drawings on Twitter the following day.

Previously, Konomi had to cancel his plans for Jump Festa 2023, where he was scheduled to appear at the stage event for The Prince of Tennis, due to his health.
We wish him the best and hope he is able to recover.
