The anime adaptation of Detective Conan: The Culprit Hanzawa will hit this fall.
The series is a comedy spinoff featuring the silhouette criminal stand-in from the Conan series. The manga is by Mayuko Kanba, and started running in 2017.
Culprit Hanzawa, much like Conan spinoff Zero’s Tea Time, will stream on Netflix.
Meanwhile, the latest Conan film, The Bride of Halloween, is sitting at #1 on the box office charts in Japan. It premiered back in April, but is still going strong, having now brought in 6.9 billion yen so far. For comparison, the highest-grossing Conan film is 2019’s The Fist of the Blue Sapphire, which earned 9.31 billion yen total. The Bride of Halloween’s staff have said they want this film to be the first Conan film that earns 10 billion.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing Hanzawa do some culprit-ing this fall.
