It’s not uncommon for anime companies in Japan to team up with other businesses to create merchandise around their characters. Now Funimation and Kung Fu Tea have teamed up for special Fruits Basket drinks right here in America.
Next month Kung Fu Tea will begin offering Yuki’s Noble Taro Slush, Tohru’s Strawberry Blush Slush, and Kyo’s Mango Madness. Buying a drink opens up the possibility of getting limited edition stickers with it. And between March 15 and May 9, buying a drink at Kung Fu Tea gives you a free one-month Funimation Premium Plus Membership if you want it. This counts for any drink, not just Fruits Basket ones.
“The promotional partnership between Funimation and Kung Fu Tea is a great way to celebrate the final season of Fruits Basket and is an excellent way for fans to celebrate these beloved characters,” said Chief Operating Officer at Funimation Global Group Rahul Purini. “It’s also a great way to usher in spring and a whole new season of amazing anime content.”
