Yen Press is re-releasing the original Haruhi light novels through their Yen On imprint. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya will both come back out in January 2021. Following that, two more Haruhi books will be released each month until May. Yen On says it is using the original Japanese covers for these re-releases.
It’s been almost ten years since the last Haruhi Suzumiya light novel was published, but writer Nagaru Tanigawa is back with The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya, which is scheduled to be simultaneously released in Japanese and English on November 25. Yen Press will digitally publish The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya the same day, and a print edition will come out next June. The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya contains three stories, one of which is brand-new.
The Haruhi light novels spawned off into manga, and created an anime that’s been voted Kyoto Animation’s best by Japanese fans.
