Nintendo is going big for the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., and that includes their efforts for the Super Mario Play! Tokyo! celebration.
According to SoraNews24, Shinjuku Station and Tokyo Station are getting all into the Mario love. If you look up at the ceiling while walking through Shinjuku Station, you’ll see example after example of Mario art.
Tokyo Station, on the other hand, will have a “giant art wall” so passersby can peruse Mario video game art to their hearts’ content.
In addition to this, Japan Railways has a “stamp rally” taking place, where going to different stations (and getting digital stamps) can earn you prizes like a rail pass/card case or a Mario clock.
All of this starts October 8. Tokyo Station is taking part until November 23, while the stamp rally and Shinjuku art will continue on into December.
