If you loved the horse girl antics of the first season of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, you’re in for a treat in the coming year. A new key visual and promo have arrived for Umamusume: Pretty Derby Season 2, which lights up the airwaves in Japan sometime in 2021.
The Umamusume anime is based on Cygames’ mixed media series, which puts cute horse girls on the racetrack in place of famous race horses. There’s currently no new information regarding the cast and staff of season two, but you can check out the new trailer and key visual below.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season of Umamusume: Pretty Derby as it aired and describes it like so:
This is a tale of a world where “horse girls”; with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy. There, she and her classmates compete to win the Twinkle Series and earn the title of “The County’s #1 Horse Girl.”
