The Sanrio website will let you know that their kawaii penguin character Tuxedosam always wears a tux, he owns 365 bow ties, and he speaks Penguinese. Apparently that bow and tux part got people thinking of weddings, because now there are Tuxedosam engagement and wedding rings available.
According to SoraNews24, “The engagement ring has four different bands to choose from: platinum, yellow gold, pink gold, and white gold.” The size of the diamond you want next to the little Tuxedosam figure makes your price vary: it might cost as high as 572,000 yen (that’s about $5,414!).
The wedding rings are more simple, and you can choose between a curve and a bow. You’ll be able to see a Tuxedosam engraving on the interior, but on the outside the theme won’t be so obvious. And while the diamond might be expensive, you do get your choice of a free engraving. And if you hurry, they have Sanrio wedding certificates available till the end of the month!
This is certainly cuter than the Sanrio figures you can disembowel.
