From Aggretsuko to Gudetama, lots of Sanrio characters are getting the series treatment these days. Now it’s Kuromi’s turn.

Sanrio announced this week that it’s producing a short anime series called Kuromi’s Pretty Journey, with three new episodes uploaded to TikTok and YouTube each week. There will be 21 in total.

Credits for the series include:

Director: Sachi Miura (animator, Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire)
Studios: Qzi.la, Imagica Digitalscape
Scripts: Domeshi, Yodine
Music: Mirai Kodai Orchestra

The character Kuromi has been around since 2005, debuting in the series Onegai My Melody.

The first three episodes of Kuromi’s Pretty Journey hit this Friday, February 17 (JST).
