It’s understandably taken some time to get Violet Evergarden: The Movie onto screens in Japan. The film was initially delayed following the July 2019 arson attack on Kyoto Animation’s Studio 1 building, and then again as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we finally have a premiere date.

After the final episode of the TV anime was rebroadcast this week, an announcement was made for Violet Evergarden: The Movie, lining it up for a September 18 debut in Japan. You can see the latest look at the gorgeous feature in the new trailer—featuring TRUE’s theme song, “WILL”—below.
