A special event was held to mark the second anniversary of the Vinland Saga TV anime, and it took the opportunity to confirm that Vinland Saga season 2 is officially in production. No studio or extended staff list has been revealed, and the release date is still up in the air, but director Shuhei Yabuta will return to the helm and Takahiko Abiru is back as character designer.
