An ending window is officially in place for Yuki Sato’s Tomodachi Game manga. According to the 25th collected volume of the series, the next volume will be its last. That will put the ending of the series somewhere in fall 2024, which is when the 26th and final volume is set to launch.
The series first debuted in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine back in December 2013, ultimately kicking off its final arc in August 2020.
In addition to two live-action drama series and a pair of live-action films, the series inspired a TV anime adaptation that premiered in April 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the series alongside the Japanese broadcast. Here’s the synopsis:
After raising enough to join his friends on a school trip, Yuichi’s money, along with the rest of the class’s, is stolen! And to make matters worse, he and his close friends have been abducted to play a debt repayment game or else they’ll be millions of yen in debt!
