The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Anime Reveals First Promo

yakuza's guide to babysitting

The stresses of babysitting can be too much for a lot of people, especially if one of those folks happen to be a member of the yakuza tasked with looking after the boss’s daughter. It’s not going to be easy, and you can see a sample of how it all goes down in the first promo for the TV anime adaptation of Tsukiya’s The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting manga.

Check out a sample of Yoshimasa Hosoya (Azumane Asahi in Haikyu!!) as Toru Kirishima and Misaki Watada (Hikari Yagami in Digimon Adventure:) as Yaeka Sakuragi in the debut trailer below.

Itsuro Kawasaki (Sengoku BASARA) is directing the adaptation, with Keiichiro Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets) on series composition and Hiromi Ogata (Katana Maidens) adapting the character designs at anime production houses feel. and GAINA.

Kaiten Books publishes the original manga in English and describes it:

WHO’S YOUR NANNY?

Kirishima Tooru is the right-hand man of the Sakuragi crime family. For him, the job is a perfect excuse to let his violent instincts run wild, earning him the nickname “the Demon of Sakuragi”. It seems like nothing will stand in the way of his vicious nature.

But then one day, he receives an assignment like never before from the boss—babysitting his daughter!

This is the heartwarming (or is it bloodcurdling?) story of a little girl and her yakuza caretaker!

Look for The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting anime to premiere sometime this year.
