Today’s Nintendo Direct presentation closed with exactly what (most) everyone was hoping for: More on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel. While development is still underway and more info is coming, producer Eiji Aonuma popped in to discuss it and other Zelda titles while slapping the sequel with a 2022 release window.
That may be a pretty wide open expanse of time, but hey, at least we got some new footage to go along with it.
Nintendo also announced a Zelda Game & Watch portable system, which packs in the original The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Link’s Awakening, and a special version of a Game & Watch classic. That one is due out on November 12.
