Soichiro Yamamoto’s Teasing Master Takagi-san manga is already enjoying a successful run as a TV anime adaptation, and the fun is heading to the big screen next. The Teasing Master Takagi-san anime film is set to open in Japan on June 10, and you can preview some of the story to come in a new trailer.
Inori Minase (Rem in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) provides the voice of the kitten, Hana, who Nishikata and Takagi find and must figure out what to do with. Haruka Tomatsu (Asuna in Sword Art Online) voices pet shop clerk Ota.
The cast and staff from the TV anime continue in their respective roles for the theatrical outing.
Crunchyroll streamed the first season of the Teasing Master Takagi-san TV anime as it aired, with Netflix streaming the second and HIDIVE streaming the third, which kicked off in January. Yen Press publishes the original manga in English and describes it like so:
Middle schooler Nishikata has had it with his classmate Takagi–the chronic teaser who sits nearby. Day in and day out, she comes after him with every sort of trick or prank. Even when he tries to get her back, she’s always one step ahead. But rest assured, it’s only the beginning. He’s not about to give up that easily in this battle of cunning and youth!
