Netflix Series Sword Gai: The Animation Gets New Trailer

Sword Gai: The Animation, a new Netflix-bound anime series, hits the ground streaming later this month, and today, a new trailer has been unsheathed.

Sword Gai, which hits Netflix March 23, is based on a seinen manga written by Toshiki Inoue and illustrated by Keita Amemiya and Wosamu Kine. It ran in magazine Hero’s from 2012 to 2015.

Here’s how Netflix describes the series:

After harnessing a demon sword to replace his missing arm, a young man named Gai fuses with the weapon to fight his enemies in this action fantasy.

The series, originally announced back in 2016, is directed by Tomohito Naka with Takahiro Ikezoe serving as chief director. Animation is being handled by LandQ Studios, DLE and Production I.G.

Main character Gai Ogata is voiced by Yuto Uemura, while Yuichiro Umehara and Yuka Aisaka round out the cast.

Another Netflix series to look forward to bingeing!
