Earlier this month, the Japanese website Daily Shincho published an article claiming that an anonymous person working at Studio Khara confirmed that Hideaki Anno is working on another movie. According to this report, it’s a “new version” or remake of an already existing and very famous anime movie.
The report got many people curious about what creator Anno is working on, but there’s a problem. Studio Khara announced yesterday that Daily Shincho’s initial report is made up. The studio maintains that no one from their staff spoke to the website, and that Anno is not working on anything else right now.
Anno’s most recent movie, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, has been doing very well in Japan. However, his company recently put out an announcement that indicated the company was being harassed over it and has received threats.
