Singer Masayoshi Oishi Needs Surgery, Will Take Month Off to Heal

Masayoshi Oishi has performed theme songs for such anime as Overlord, Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Hand Shakers, Ace of Diamond and more. But Oishi is having some health issues and will be needing surgery.

According to Anime News Network, he needs vocal cord polyp removal surgery. While he had previously announced this in 2020, he’s held off on the surgery because of COVID-19. Now he’s scheduled to go under the knife sometime later in April, and he will be taking a month-long break to heal. During this time he won’t do any singing and he’ll be limiting his talking.

We all wish him a successful and speedy recovery!
