The Japanese offices of Weekly Shonen Jump were recently hit with a potential COVID-19 (coronavirus) scare. With a suspected case affecting one of the staff members, the magazine announced that this year’s issue 21 will be delayed and combined with issue 22 for a double issue the following week.

Issue 21 was originally scheduled for April 20, but will now arrive along with 22 on April 27. Jump is taking the safety and health of the entire staff into consideration while they wait for the results of the PCR test, which has already been administered to the 40-year-old staff member in question.

In the meantime, Monday, April 13’s issue 20 is still on schedule. The staff apologized to the audience in their message and said they “can’t wait to brighten the hearts of readers” again.
