Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider film opened in Japan on March 18, and a nationwide release is planned for the U.S. via Fathom Events on May 31. Ahead of that one-night-only event, Japan Society NYC announced plans to host the North American premiere for the film inside the non-profit society’s New York City headquarters on May 23.
Here’s what Japan Society Director of Film Peter Tartara had to say about the event:
“We’re honored and humbled to bring Shin Kamen Rider to audiences in North America for the first time. We believe Hideaki Anno’s tribute to one of his childhood heroes will ignite both old and new fans here at Japan Society and all across the country.”
