Discotek Media may be the reigning champ of releasing Lupin anime on home video in North America, but Sentai Filmworks has a new release of its own coming up. The company announced the license of the latest entry in the TV anime series, LUPIN THE THIRD PART 6, with plans to launch the season as it streams this October via HIDIVE, with a home video release to follow.
Eiji Suganuma (Mashiroiro Symphony: The Color of Lovers) directs the anime, with Part 5‘s Takahiro Okura on series composition and Hirotaka Marufuji on character design for the season celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first anime adaptation’s 1971 premiere.
HIDIVE’s stream will be available in the following territories: North America, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, and all Nordic Countries.

Gentleman thief Lupin III is back and ready for his next caper— unless legendary sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, has anything to say about it! When Holmes’ longtime partner, Dr. Watson, is murdered, none other than Lupin tops the suspects list. With Holmes fast closing in, Lupin must prove his innocence and bring a shadowy organization called The Raven to heel if he wants to live to steal another day.
